Welcoming Mr. Stan Travnik to CES
After 38 years in Education, I have made the decision to retire from CES and the Black Gold School Division. It has been an amazing career marked by so many wonderful memories and experiences, including my time as Principal of Calmar Elementary School. For the past five years, it has been my honour to work alongside the hardworking and dedicated staff of CES.
I also extend my appreciation to all the parents and community members who have supported and promoted our school. Thank you for helping build and strengthen our school community into the wonderful family that it is. It has been a privilege getting to know so many of you in various capacities.
Thank you also for trusting me with your children. They have been a gift to me, and I will hold their smiles and hugs close to my heart as I move through the next chapter of my life.
Finally, I would like to welcome Mr. Travnik back to CES as the new principal starting in the fall of the 2024 – 2025 school year. He is returning to CES from the Leduc and Beaumont Outreach Schools where he is currently serving as the principal of both those schools. I am certain that with your continued support, he will do wonderful things for CES!

Hot Lunch Information
Many classes are now booking end of the year field trips. This means that some of you may have ordered a hot lunch for your child, and it will no longer be needed. Please check on the CES calendar @ https://ces.blackgold.ca/calendar/ to see if your child’s class has a field trip booked for a hot lunch Friday. Please feel free to cancel your order and you will receive a credit on your account for a future hot lunch order. We encourage you to do this as soon as possible so you do not miss the cancellation deadline. If you wish to keep your order please let your child’s teacher know so it can be put aside for pick up anytime after 11:45 am on the day of the field trip. Thank you!
